My name is Geeta, and this is my daughter Mia. While I have had eczema since I was 12, Mia's eczema had completely taken over her body, face, scalp, hands & soles of feet. It also took over her body, mind & spirit. Eczema... Can be vicious!
Mia was hospitalised twice (5 days each stay) in 2012 & 2013, underwent 12 months UV light therapy, daily bleach baths & wet dressings, regular antibiotics and up to 10 tubes of steroid ointment every month.
Even with this treatment regime, Mia's eczema was still spreading. The only medical option left available to her was to commence long-term immune suppressant medication.
This was the moment, when everything changed for us. More medication wasn't the right answer. I became the mommy lioness who would leave no stone unturned to bring my baby girl back.
